Report of Parish Council Meeting – Tuesday January 4th 2011 The Surgery before the Meeting was attended by Mr Mason from Shakeford Cottage, who requested Councillors views on his plan to build 20 Affordable Houses on land adjacent to his property. Lighting at the 5-a-side football pitch and the Walk way – the work is nearly completed. The Millennium Stone on the playground - a proof for the sign has been received, and it was agreed to go ahead with the work. The War Memorial – the work was completed in time, and Councillors agreed that the Contractor has done a very good job. The bus shelter by the Chestnuts - the roof has been repaired and warning signs have been put up. Recreation Ground - Several people have expressed an interest in tendering for the maintenance of the Recreation Ground. It was agreed that a list of the work required would be prepared and sent to the candidates. School – the nursery was flooded in the recent bad weather, so it will be opening slightly later than intended. There are large pot holes in Goldstone Road which will be reported. Councillors would like 20 MPH signs erected at all entrances to the Village Centre. |
