Report of Parish Council Meeting – Tuesday September 6th 2011 

The Memorial Hall Committee has been unable to raise enough money from grants for the proposed extension, due to the current financial downturn. It has therefore been suggested that The Parish Council could take out a loan of £64,500.00 over 25 years, to make up the shortfall. The Parish Council will hold a Public Meeting to find out if Parishioners agree with this expenditure.

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee  June 2nd – 5th 2012.
An advertisement for volunteers to form a Committee has been placed in the Parish Magazine and on the website. The first meeting will be held on November 29th 2011, and all Parishioners are invited to attend, and make suggestions on how Hinstock should celebrate. The Village Initiative are organising events on June the 2nd and 4th 2012 and the Parish Council will concentrate on Tuesday June 5th 2012.

Mill Green – Parishioners from Mill Green are to hold a site meeting with officers from Shropshire Council on September 14th 2011.

The underpass by the Chestnuts. Mr Ray Phillips from the local Young Offenders Service has agreed to send a party of Young Offenders to tidy up the underpass and the surrounding area.
The underpass will be painted and the area will be strimmed and overgrown shrubs will be cut back.
They would also like to prepare flower beds, subject to the approval of the Village Initiative Group.
