A Public Meeting was held in the Memorial Hall on Tuesday November 29th 2011, to discuss:- 1 How Hinstock is going to Celebrate H.M.the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June 2012 2 Whether the Parish Council should take out a loan of £67,500.00 to build an extension on the Memorial Hall, which will increase the rates of Parishioners. Decisions made:- 1- Several Parishioners volunteered to form a Steering Group to organise events. 2- Plans were viewed, and various options were discussed, and a vote was taken on whether to borrow 67500.00 over a 20 year period, which will increase the rates of band D rate payers by approximately 11 pounds a year. Any money returned to the project from the contingency fund/VAT will be taken off the loan. 17 people voted for, and 3 people voted against, making 85% for going ahead. The meeting was advertised in the local paper, large banners and on this website. Over 190 hits were received on the website page advertising the meeting.
